Well the Jamsta Photography branch has been officially launched! After literally hundreds of hours sorting and editing through thousands of photos taken over the last 18 months to build up a solid portfolio for Jamsta Photography, it is now ready to be viewed by the public.
I want to take this time to personally thank all those who have been involved in my work, from clients, to friends and referrals and lastly my Lord Jesus Christ for continuing to bless me with the energy, enthusiasm and inspiration to move forward on this newfound passion-to-profession!

Jamsta Photography is onboard the Carnival Valor for the next 6 months and looking forward to working with new entertainers and other photo projects!
It wasn't too long until Jamsta Photography landed some jobs with two exceptional comedians from Carnival's Punchline Comedy Club: America's own Scotty K & Derrick Eason. It was an absolute pleasure to work with and witness these two entertainers do what they do best, and capturing it all! I look forward to editing these live stand-up shots!

Jamsta Photography had the extreme delight in volunteering to be a part of celebrating the 2nd Anniversary of the Carnival Service Values onboard the Carnival Valor.
Carnival Service Values was launched 2 years ago as an ethos to promote a positive and constructive working environment that would benefit the employees, guests and the places we visit.
With over 1100 employees working onboard, I took on the challenge of capturing crewmembers from every working department on the ship. This involved:
- Captain & Officers
- Food & Beverage (Cooks, Galley workers, Waiters & Bar staff)
- Housekeeping (Room Stewards and cleaners)
- Laundry & Tailors
- Camp Carnival Kids program staff
- Steiner Spa Salon
- Gift Shop & Retail
- Casino
- Medical Team
- Entertainment (Singers, Dancers, Musicians, Hosts & Technicians)
- Park West Gallery
- Shore Excursions
- Security
- Engine Room, Sanitations, Mooring staff etc
- Finance & Accounting Team
- Guest Services & Human Resources
- Pixels Photo Department & Dreams Studio
It took over 3 weeks to complete this mammoth photo-project and the final piece that I'm proud to present to the ship is a 231-piece Photo Montage, selected from 2000+ shots that capture the essence of the crew-members in their working environment. Every shot is meticulously and strategically placed as to keep every department separated and not in close clusters, so the viewer must keep looking through the whole montage to find other friends from their departments.
And here is the final piece below:

Jamsta Photography had the opportunity to capture the Cruise Director Craig Johnson on some of his events around the ship. Here are some snaps taken during the "Game of Love" show and the 80s Trivia Song Contest.
JUNE 2014
Once again, Jamsta Photography was commissioned to shoot the live stand-up shows for a few more comics from the Punchliner Comedy Club onboard the Valor. They included Cee Jay Jones, John Rathbone and Azeem.
It was particularly exciting to catch up with Azeem again, as he was the first comedian that I had the pleasure of doing a photo-shoot for on the cruise-ships. I have Azeem to thank for helping launch my live event photography portfolio!
It was a great experience being part of these shows, watching them doing what they do best and create such an energy amongst the crowd and on stage. This is why I love doing live photography; it captures the essence of the atmosphere, which can be cherished again and again.

Friends & Folks, I am SUPER-EXCITED to announce my next major project, which has been on the back-burner for over 6 months now but finally it is time get the ball rolling on releasing the never-before-seen photos of the “DESTINATION UNKNOWN” Magic show featuring Las Vegas’ own Jason Byrne and the Carnival Magic Entertainment cast!!
Jamsta Photography had the extreme honour & privilege of shooting this spectacular show in late 2013, which is normally prohibited by international copyright law to record in any way. Last month I was excited to be given the green-light from the directors of the show Kevin & Caruso in Las Vegas and the Director at Carnival Cruiselines Entertainment to be able to present these photos onto my website.
Jamsta Photography had the extreme honour & privilege of shooting this spectacular show in late 2013, which is normally prohibited by international copyright law to record in any way. Last month I was excited to be given the green-light from the directors of the show Kevin & Caruso in Las Vegas and the Director at Carnival Cruiselines Entertainment to be able to present these photos onto my website.
With over 4500+ photos taken over 5 separate shows, this will be my biggest project to date! It will take a tonne of hours to select the best of the best shots, then editing them for the final presentation. Once again I would like to acknowledge and thank Kevin & Caruso Entertainment and Kerry Stables at CCL Entertainment for allowing me to show my work to the public; but most of all to the outstanding magician Jason Byrne and the incomparable cast of Magic 2013-14 for putting on such a dazzling show and performance each time!

This will involve going around and shooting the various events and activities onboard the ship that he runs and hosts; including the "Game of Love" show, 70s & 80s Music Trivia competitions, Pre-show presentations, Welcome Aboard show and many more. Here is a small sample of Felipe in action!

SEPTEMBER 2014
Well my time on the Carnival Valor has come to an end; and what a spectacular way to finish my time onboard with a series of photoshoots for various crew-members and friends that I made during my contract here! It was indeed a very busy final month involving shoots for musicians, entertainment hosts, dancers and other staff.
It has been an amazing privilege to get to know and work with these wonderful people and have to chance to develop and build up my portfolio and skills in portrait photography.
Here is a preview snippet of the various artists & folks that I did a shoot for. I will be working over the next 2 months to include these shoots in the GALLERY, so watch this space!
